Platform GPV: actuals and October target.
July–September: actual GPV. October: management target; modelled scenarios NZ$1.37–1.80m.
NEW ZEALAND / MARKET VALIDATION
New Zealand: validated and scaling.
Following the first merchant pilot in July, New Zealand moved into go-to-market and merchant rollout in August.

NEW ZEALAND / PAYMENT USAGE
New Zealand: target 30%+ payment penetration.
Broader card acceptance removes an early usage constraint. October priorities: increase payment adoption and activate 15 more merchants.

New Zealand weekly GPV
NZD · actualsLatest week: NZ$62,689, down 5.5% from NZ$66,332. The cause of the decline has not been established.
Merchants also relied on traditional terminals.
Focus shifts to adoption and increased usage.
NZ$523k assumes sustained 30% penetration of the same cohort’s September sales, before new activations; it is not the October forecast.
Further NZ growth potential
At roughly 58% payment penetration, the same merchant cohort could process about NZ$1.02m per month — 4× September GPV. This illustrates longer-term usage potential, with merchant sales held constant; it is separate from the October management target.
AUSTRALIA / MARKET VALIDATION & ROLLOUT
Australia: rollout is accelerating.
Weekly GPV has stepped up as new merchants begin processing. The 1 October card-surcharge reforms may be an adoption catalyst.

TAKE RATE & REVENUE POTENTIAL
Illustrative payment revenue.
GPV · merchant rollout and deeper usage
NZ$12.5k–20k monthly payment revenue
NZ$25k–40k monthly payment revenue
October’s strategy review will define the path to the next GPV milestones.
Illustrative payment revenue uses an assumed retained take rate; it is not recognised revenue or profit. NZ$2.5m and NZ$5m are planning milestones, without committed dates.
October assumptions & payment revenue model
October management target: NZ$1.5m+ platform GPV. Execution scenarios span NZ$1.37–1.80m.
- NZ: deeper usage across existing merchants; 15 additional activations.
- AU: 80–100% of the early-October daily pace for the remaining days; five additional activations.
- Timing: new merchants assumed to start on 16 October at 50–100% of benchmark volume.
NZ’s model uses 21.8–29.1% average monthly penetration; the 30%+ operating target may be reached later in the month. Slower or faster rollout changes the outcome.
Retained take rate is AimerPay’s assumed share of GPV, not the total merchant fee.

Data basis & key assumptions
Reporting basis. Actual payments to 6 October 2026; company update at 9 October. GPV is captured merchant payment volume before refunds, not Aimer revenue. Sources: Adyen/AimerOps, matched POS records and the merchant register. NZ and AU use local currencies; combined figures use A$1 = NZ$1.242 (weekly: 1.2416).
Merchant counts. Live means at least $100 cumulative local-currency GPV from July to 6 October: 37 NZ + 8 AU. Of 69 signed merchants, 35 are Live and 34 are Going Live Soon; ten other Live merchants await contract-record reconciliation. Planned October additions may come from the signed pipeline.
Payment penetration. GPV divided by matched POS sales for the same period and cohort. NZ’s September measure is NZ$253,898 ÷ NZ$1,743,721 = 14.6%. At a sustained 30%, that cohort implies NZ$523k monthly GPV before new merchants; it is not a full-month October forecast. Cohort and country totals differ. ChaPanda’s 101.7% reflects card surcharges included in GPV but excluded from POS sales; AU’s current near-100% estimate awaits a complete October denominator.
Australia’s step-up. The latest week is 30 September–6 October, including one day before the 1 October card-surcharge reforms. The timing is consistent with a possible policy catalyst; the policy’s contribution to GPV has not been isolated. Weekly dates follow the source reporting window. The 3.3× AU/NZ GPV comparison covers 30 September–6 October 2026, translated to NZD; it does not measure relative market size. July–August processing predates September market validation.
Outlook & payment revenue. NZ$1.5m+ is the October management target; NZ$1.37–1.80m is execution sensitivity, not a confidence interval. Assumptions appear with the payment revenue model. Activation timing, processing pace and merchant concentration can change results. NZ$2.5m and NZ$5m are undated planning milestones. The 0.5–0.8% retained take rate is assumed; illustrative payment revenue is not recognised revenue or profit.
Funding & product milestones. NZ$350k received is cumulative investment proceeds, not cash on hand. NZ$50k is signed but unpaid; NZ$100k remains in discussion. Seed Stage II and final MBIE funding approval remain pending. AI-native progress reflects internal assessments; the portfolio completion target is Q1 2027.
Customer examples & imagery. Rankings use merchant-level September GPV translated at 1.242, not whole-brand volume. Original imagery comes from Aimer’s website, Figma assets and its official Xiaohongshu features of Cha-No-Wa and ChaPanda. Photos show product presence and customer venues; payment status comes from operating records.
